Accessibility
Most of the people who use Waterfall are in their seventies, eighties and nineties. Some have tremor, cataracts, hearing loss, or memory that is not what it was. If the product is hard to use, we have failed at the only thing we are for.
Where we stand
We are working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not completed an independent audit yet, so we are not claiming conformance. When the audit is done we will publish the result here, including what still fails and when we expect to fix it.
What we build for
- Large text and generous tap targets, because thumbs are not always steady
- Speaking as a first-class way in, not a fallback, for anyone who finds typing hard
- Clear contrast in both light and dark, and no meaning carried by colour alone
- Keyboard and screen reader support
- Motion that respects a reduced-motion preference
- Plain language, and a way to pause and come back without losing anything
Tell us what is broken
If something is hard to use, that is a bug and we want to hear about it. Write to hello@waterfallwisdom.com. Tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We will reply, and if you are helping someone else use Waterfall, tell us that too.
